Manages and directs all multimedia assignments. Oversees the budget, expenses, and equipment. Proactively assigns breaking news, feature segments, and long-term documentary projects to multimedia and photo staff. Oversees the Video Traffic Programmer. Obtains a good understanding of web and mobile sites, while understanding CMS and be able to apply it. Knowledge of archives and understanding video servers while also a good understanding of FCP, FCX, Premiere, FCServer, and Excel.

Part of staff that contributed to mobile page views at an all-time daily record for the Newsday app in February 2014. Assisted in getting visitors to spend more time per visitor monthly. Received two New York Emmy awards in 2015 for work on “Hush: The Rhythm of a Hometown Chef” and “Gabriel’s World” documentaries. Accomplished over 40 million Facebook video views in 2016 with special social media edit of "A Winning Team" documentary, the highest views for a single post for Newsday Facebook page.

Video Traffic Programmer

Responsible for both quality control and trafficking of all videos for nation’s sixteenth largest newspaper, its affiliate websites, social networking, and mobile applications.

Increased video views by 5% and time spent on videos by 3%, even after a subscription-based business model was established to website. Received a New York Emmy award in 2012 for work on “9/11: A Decade Later” documentary.

At West Virginia University: Directed three undergraduate courses while creating a solid understanding of journalism standards, practices and ethics in the classroom. Improved class attendance from previous semesters. Generated 15% more passing grades in writing class.
